A little information about me: born in Louisville, Kentucky, I discovered my love of photography while pursuing an acting career in New York City. I found a way to combine both my passions -- storytelling and image making through cinematography. I became a union camera assistant and then a camera operator. I have worked on documentaries, commercials, music videos, features and episodic television. My latest projects were HBO's "Insecure" and "Doubt" for CBS.
Still photography has remained a through line connecting all these experiences as well as the amazing people and places I've encountered. I enjoy photographing people at work and at play and I'm also inspired by spending time admiring the natural world. Photography continues to enrich, inspire and expand my life.
“To photograph is to hold one’s breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It’s at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy.” Henri Cartier Bresson
